CBNL chosen as a 2014 Red Herring Top 100 Europe winner

CBNL has today been named as a Red Herring Top 100 Europe award winner - a prestigious list honoring the year’s most promising private technology ventures from the European business region.

CBNL, who provide highly efficient mobile backhaul and enterprise access infrastructure for the world’s largest service providers, was selected by Red Herring based on a strong track record and a high potential for growth.

“Selecting technology companies who show the highest potential for disruption and growth is never easy,”

said Alex Vieux, publisher and CEO of Red Herring.

“Each year the competition gets tougher, but CBNL has demonstrated a strong business model and shown how an innovative approach to wireless networks can provide high-speed connectivity to new areas, bringing profound economic and social benefits.

“In a global market where demand for efficient infrastructure is increasing quickly, CBNL shows great potential for growth and fully deserves to be amongst this year’s winners.”

Lionel Chmilewsky, CEO of CBNL, added

“The fast paced telecoms market continues to provide new and interesting challenges for backhaul and enterprise access. Whether introducing faster services, or expanding coverage – operators require infrastructure which provides the performance demanded by new technology like 4G and delivers it in an efficient and cost effective way.

“Our VectaStar solution has become established in over 40 countries based on its ability to provide carrier-class infrastructure for the world’s most modern networks whilst offering leading total cost of ownership savings.

"We are already serving seven of the world’s top ten mobile operators and are excited by growing demand for innovative solutions and the prospect of bringing advanced connectivity to new markets across the globe.”

Red Herring evaluated companies on criteria, such as financial performance, technological innovation, management quality, business strategy and market penetration.

This assessment was complemented by a review of the track records and standings of similar companies in the same verticals, allowing Red Herring to see past the “buzz” and make the list a valuable instrument of discovery and advocacy for the most promising new business models in Europe.
