CBNL appoint Lionel Chmilewsky as Chief Executive Officer
CBNL, the leading next generation microwave network company, has today announced that Lionel Chmilewsky has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer.
Commenting on his appointment, Teresa Vega, Chairman of CBNL said:
“I’m delighted to announce the appointment of Lionel Chmilewsky as CEO of CBNL. Lionel holds a wealth of international management experience which will be invaluable in continuing our growth and addressing the many market opportunities of next generation networks.”
Lionel Chmilewsky added:
“I am excited to join CBNL, a company known for innovation in the telecommunication industry for more than ten years. The company has achieved an extensive customer base that spans 36 countries and covers more than 50 Communication Service Providers and I look forward to our continued success”.
Mr Chmilewsky will be replacing Graham Peel, who has led the company since 2007.
Ms Vega added

Under his leadership CBNL’s revenue has grown by a factor of four to become the global leader in point-to-multipoint wireless backhaul. We now serve seven of the top ten mobile operators globally. Graham has built a highly skilled and motivated team and we wish him well in his next venture”.
About Lionel Chmilewsky
Mr Chmilewsky has more than 25 years of experience in the technology field and has been part of the wireless industry since the early 90s.
Most recently Lionel was CEO of Comverse IP Communications and Senior Vice President of Comverse. Prior joining Comverse, he was Executive Vice-President of Proxim Wireless, leading Worldwide Sales.
His background also includes General Management and Senior Sales roles in Alcatel, JDS Uniphase and EXFO, JDS Uniphase, as well as Product Management in his early career at Fairchild in the USA.
Lionel Chmilewsky is a French national and earned a business degree from the Rouen Business School.
