VectaStar Installer
Provides an overview and introduction to VectaStar for Equipment installers working with VectaStar equipment.
Covering the installation of VectaStar Hub sites and the installation and commissioning of remote terminals (RTs).
Students will develop an understanding of the elements that make up a VectaStar system including indoor equipment, remote terminals, access points and the VectaStar network management platform.
The CBNL hardware support options will also be explained.
Installers who will be working with VectaStar Hub sites equipment and remote terminals.
- Overview of VectaStar hardware and product
- Conducting a site survey
- Installing hub site indoor equipment
- Installing hub site outdoor equipment and cabling
- Installing RT indoor and outdoor equipment
- Antenna installation and alignment
- Cable lengths and limitations
- Aligning and commissioning RTs
- Verifying and documenting installation
- Identifying installation faults with hub sites and RTs
- Collection of diagnostic information.
Existing installer skills, including experience in safe and appropriate working practices.
During the course the trainer will conduct continual assessment.
Certificate is awarded on successful completion of the course exercises and assessments. Qualification remains valid for 3 years.
Customer to provide.
Three complete hub sites with all indoor equipment, suitable 19" rack space, one or two AP and one RT per participant, one PC (or laptop) per pair of participants.
