VectaStar NMS Administration
You will understand the tools available with the VNMS platform and be able to configure the VNMS to obtain and interpret detailed information provided by the VNMS.
At the end of the course, you will be able to install the VNMS, upgrade the software, use the VNMS as an aid to trouble-shooting and customise key features.
Personnel involved in the administration and/or operation/monitoring of the VectaStar network. NOC personnel wishing to gain a better understanding of the VectaStar VNMS.
- Overview of VNMS, physical components and software
- FCAPS
- Bandwidth and utilisation reporting
- Customised reporting
- Performance graphs
- Events and alarms
- Performance data extraction into third party tools
- Northbound Interfaces
- OpenNMS™ key features
- VNMS customisation
- Backups and disaster recovery for both Hub sites and for the VNMS platform
- Practical exercises.
Participants are expected to have a good knowledge of the VectaStar range of products and use of the EMS applications to configure VectaStar services.
Additionally, participants will have an understanding of IP Networks and a working knowledge of Linux.
Certificate is awarded on successful completion of the course with a final exam.
Qualification remains valid for 3 years.
All equipment provided in the training lab.
