Nova Telecom, a leading Irish communication provider, has today announced a partnership with CBNL, the market-leader in licenced point-to-multipoint (PMP) microwave and millimetre wave solutions, to launch a new enterprise grade fixed wireless service, significantly increasing access to high bandwidth internet for businesses in Ireland. 

This major initiative by Nova Telecom will open up a more diverse path to superfast broadband, enabling business to leverage the latest licensed PMP wireless technology.

The awards are an annual event where the European Commission recognizes the outstanding EU-funded broadband deployment projects in Europe.

Together with its project partners, CBNL was recognized in the ‘Cost reduction and co-investment in a future proof infrastructure’ category for the Metropolitan Telecommunication Network (MTN) in Rzeszów.

Cambridge Broadband Networks (CBNL), the market leader in licensed point-to-multipoint (PMP) microwave and millimetre wave, has today announced the results of its ‘UK Enterprise Broadband Index’. 

The survey of 200 businesses, conducted by market research firm Mobilesquared, highlights the gap between enterprise connectivity demands and the services they receive. Almost unanimously, 89% of UK businesses said they would consider switching to wireless broadband.

The City of Rzeszów, CBNL, and the European Commission’s network of Broadband Competence Offices (BCOs) have today published a new case study to showcase advanced use of 26GHz to deliver cutting-edge smart city connectivity.

The film profiles the EU-funded Metropolitan Telecommunication Network (MTN) in Rzeszów, a city with a population of 187,000 (including 95,000 students) and the largest economic, academic and cultural city in South East Poland.

The MTN, deployed using CBNL’s market leading point-to-multipoint (PMP) technology, has driven transformation improvements to key socio-economic hubs across Rzeszów through advanced use of 26GHz – a frequency assigned as a ‘pioneer band’ for 5G by the EU.
