Supply Chain Planner - fixed term maternity cover

Reporting to the Operations Supply Chain Director, the responsibilities of this role will cover sales order management, reporting and data analysis to support the day-to-day activities in running operations within the business. We outsource our manufacturing and ship throughout the world.

As this is maternity cover we need someone who is already skilled in this role, to start in July.

Key responsibilities & tasks

  • Manage receipt of sales orders into business including loading of orders into SAGE

  • Handling and advising sales team on all orders delivery

  • Maintain, update weekly delivery schedule.

  • Resolve delivery queries with Customers and sales team.

  • Update and maintain open order sales backlog report

  • Ensure management are advised of any supplier & commercial risks to minimise any exposure. Schedule supplies to maximise response and minimise inventory

  • Develop effective working relationships with Engineering, Sales, Product management, Supply Chain personnel and Suppliers.

  • Resolve invoicing queries and control purchases within budget.

  • Maintain System data integrity and accuracy for Lead-time, costs, delivery information.

  • Preparing Board pack for Senior Management.

  • Attend weekly sales interlock meeting and factory conference calls.

  • Prepare and maintain Forecast information.

  • Supporting Logistics with information and documentation to ensure all customer orders are shipped on time.

  • Monitoring and reporting shipping status

  • Production of various reports (incl. LT analysis, revenue value, inventory reports, forecast reports)

  • Co-ordinating the RMAs in CRM system incl. customer invoicing for RMAs (holiday cover for Supply Chain Coordinator)

  • Preparing shipping documents and arranging shipments to customers (holiday cover for Shipping Administrator).

Competencies

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Operations department

  • Experience of MRP/MPS.

  • Experience of Sage and Salesforce.com would be advantageous

  • Good strong communication skills required

  • Competent user of Microsoft office and Excel in particular

  • Ability to work to deadlines whilst retaining attention to detail

  • Willingness to be flexible and go the extra mile to ensure deadlines and targets are met particularly at month and quarter ends

  • Pro-active attitude & willingness to learn
