Each one day workshop covers network element recovery procedures of VectaStar Hub site elements.

The aim of these workshops is to firstly outline the basic type of hardware fault conditions which could occur on network elements, understand all the associated alarms and how to interpret them.

Next we shall be presenting the procedures to quickly and correctly swap out hardware in order to resume normal operations.

Maximum 6 places per day.

Who should attend? 

NOC and/or Field Engineers who will be working with VectaStar Base Station and CPE equipment.

  • Overview of VectaStar hardware and basic swap out procedures
  • Alarm severity and their description
  • Indicators of potential faults on a VectaStar network
  • Remote indicators of MUX hardware failure
  • Remote indicators of MPA hardware failure
  • Remote indicators of AP hardware failure
  • Onsite indicators of hardware failures
  • Non-redundant VectaStar Base Station swap out procedures
  • APC swap out
  • MUX swap out
  • MPA swap out
  • Access Point swap out

Existing VectaStar experience of working in the Field or NOC and preferably a VST-ENG-APC, VST-INST-APC or VST-NMS-OP certification


The course is designed to act as a refresher. A certificate of attendance will be issued at the end of the workshop.
